Organised by The Rotary Club of Chelmsford Mildmay

As always, both courses of our Charity Races will start and finish on the Great Baddow Recreation ground where there will be Car Parking; Male and Female changing and some shower facilities; Warm-up aerobics; a Duty Doctor, First Aid support and a Physiotherapist; Finish Line photography; Refreshments; a children's play area; Charity stalls, and sideshows.   There is a medal for every finisher in each race.

Please Note:   The use of mp3 players, earphones and headphones is NOT permitted in the 10 mile Race, and is strongly discouraged in the Fun Run.

The 10 Mile Road Race

The 2 mile Fun Run

This race is over an undulating course through Great Baddow, Galleywood and rural West Hanningfield.   There are route markers, 4 water stations (3 on route and 1 on site), 1 sponge station, and distance markers every mile.   There will be Marshals on the site and all the way round the course, with radio or telephone contact with Race Control for the duration of the race.   A vehicle with a time clock will lead the race, and a 'sweep' vehicle will follow the last runners.   Click on the small map below to see a larger image of the course, with Mile marks and Water Station positions.   The course profile is also available.   (These files are large)

This race is run on the local roads of Great Baddow only, and has the same level of marshalling as the 10 mile race.   There are route and mile markers, but no water stations.   Start time is 10 minutes after the 10 mile race to allow time for the longer distance runners to clear the early part of the course.   Click on the small map below to see a larger image of the course.  (It is a large file)
