The proceeds from the Great Baddow Charity Races are used to support local charities working for local people.   So who are these local Charities that are being supported by the Races this year?

In alphabetical order they are:

Epilepsy Action run by volunteers, local branches offer a mixture of social events and informative talks and discussions which provide local support to people with epilepsy, their family and friends and professional carers.
  Little Havens Hospice

dedicated to caring for the whole family by offering specialist one-to-one care and support for children with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses 365 days a year.

ProAct

The Chelmsford Mildmay Charity Trust Fund

a charity fund administered by the Rotary Club for local projects.

The League of Friends of Hargrave House

a Great Baddow charity for youngsters, and young adults, with severe learning difficulties.

The underlined charities have websites of their own, or their UK parent body.   Click on the name to go to the relevant site where you can get more information

All entrants, in both races, are given sponsorship forms and encouraged to raise money for our nominated Charities through their efforts.   They may if they wish, of course, raise money for their own favourite charity, project, or club.   We have estimated that some £350,000 has been raised and distributed to charities in this way over the last 20 years.   You can also download a sponsorship form by clicking here
